The early years represent enormous capacity for growth and change and development. Children learn what it is to be a part of a community of peers that can share and celebrate individual interests, care for one another, and plant seeds of joy and intellectual curiosity that will grow for their entire lives. Children work through the questions that mold them and in this process develop skills that translate into dedication, analysis, creativity and mutual respect that they will carry with them into the future. But we are not fully focused on the future, although we work to make sure children have deep exposure to principles of early literacy, early math, and more. We are focused on the day to day. We are there to celebrate the small milestones that mark each experience these young children undergo. We are there for the difficult moments and the joyful ones, we are there by their side as they learn what they are capable of independently and as a group. There is no one way to sum up what happens in Early Childhood, but the transformations we see inspire us deeply.
